1. Verify host AR-15 lower receiver is completely clear, magazine removed, safety engaged, and chamber confirmed empty.
2. Depress existing factory magazine release button deeply into the receiver channel using a punch or wooden dowel until the magazine catch bar extends out the left side of the receiver.
3. Unscrew the magazine catch counter-clockwise from the left side until removed, then release the factory button and spring.
4. Insert magazine catch spring and the Geissele Ultra Duty Mag Release Button into the right side receiver pocket.
5. Thread the magazine catch clockwise onto the button shaft until the end of the shaft sits flush with or slightly recessed below the face of the Geissele button, then test function with an empty magazine prior to live-fire staging.
