The Glock 79011 is an authentic factory OEM spare slide assembly engineered to bring Modular Optic System (MOS) capabilities directly to the classic Glock 34 Gen 3 platform. Precision-machined from high-strength stainless steel and coated in Glock's advanced, wear-resistant matte black finish, this long-slide configuration provides an extended sight radius and enhanced recoil mitigation for competition, duty, and target applications. Designed with factory front and rear directional serrations, the slide yields positive tactile control for rapid press checks and clearing procedures under operational conditions.
Factory-assembled with standard OEM internal components—including the striker assembly, extractor, safety plunger, spring loaded bearing, and channel liner—this slide delivers native Glock reliability right out of the box. Armorer Bench Notes & Real-World Staging Guidance:
Fitment Matrix: Fits Glock 34 Gen 3 frames natively. Also compatible with Glock 17 Gen 3 full-size frames when paired with a G34 Gen 3 barrel and recoil spring assembly. Not compatible with Gen 4 or Gen 5 frames.
- Perform a triple safety check: remove the magazine, lock the slide to the rear, and visually inspect the chamber to ensure the firearm is completely unloaded.
- Depress the slide lock tabs and field strip the existing slide from the frame.
- Transfer your existing Glock 34 Gen 3 barrel and recoil spring assembly (or install new OEM G34 components) into the 79011 slide body.
- If mounting an optic, remove the two hex screws holding the MOS cover plate, align the appropriate MOS adapter plate, install your optic using proper thread locker, and torque screws to manufacturer specifications.
- Align the 79011 slide rails with the frame guide rails and push the assembly rearward until the slide lock engages securely.
- Perform a manual dry-fire and function test to verify trigger reset, firing pin safety plunger engagement, and smooth cycling prior to live-fire staging.
