Armorer Bench Notes & Real-World Staging Guidance:
Fitment Matrix: Fits standard AR-15 and AR-10 / SR-25 lower receivers w/ MIL-SPEC 0.154" pin holes. (Note: Will NOT fit large-pin Colt lowers [.170"] or non-standard lower receiver geometries).
- Perform a complete firearm safety check: drop the magazine, retract the charging handle, and visually/physically inspect the chamber to verify zero live rounds are present.
- Separate the upper and lower receivers by pushing out the takedown and pivot pins.
- Remove the safety selector lever by removing the pistol grip, detent spring, and safety detent pin.
- Using a drift punch, tap out the existing trigger and hammer pins, then lift out the OEM fire control group.
- Install the HIPERFIRE X2S MOD-3 trigger assembly into the lower receiver well, using the provided slave pin to hold the disconnector and trigger components aligned before driving in the main 0.154" trigger pin.
- Position the hammer assembly and drive in the 0.154" hammer pin, reinstall the safety selector, grip detent, and pistol grip, then perform a complete manual dry-fire function test (ensuring hammer does not strike lower receiver wall without a hammer block).
