The HUXWRX (formerly OSS Suppressors) Flash Hider-QD 7.62 (1799) is a multi-functional muzzle device and quick-detach suppressor mounting interface designed for 7.62mm / .30 caliber rifles with 5/8x24 barrel thread pitches. Engineered to mitigate unburnt powder flash in low-light environments, its three-prong geometry suppresses muzzle flare while providing a precise, repeatable lockup for HUXWRX Flow-Through® suppressors.
Built with HUXWRX's Torque-Lock® technology, this QD flash hider features self-tightening left-hand threads that continuously secure the silencer to the muzzle device under the rotational forces of firing gas expansion. This design eliminates silencer backing-off, carbon locking, and the need for external secondary latch mechanisms, maintaining consistent alignment and repeatable point-of-impact across extended firing cycles.

Fitment Matrix: Direct fitment for 7.62 NATO / .308 Win, 300 AAC Blackout, 6.5 Creedmoor, and other .30 caliber host barrels with 5/8x24 threads. Compatible with HUXWRX / OSS HX-QD 762, FLOW 762 Ti, and related QD series suppressors.
- Thoroughly clean host barrel threads and shoulder face to ensure zero carbon buildup or thread interference.
- Install using the provided timing shims (if alignment is desired) or direct shoulder seat; apply high-temp threadlocker (Rocksett recommended) to clean threads.
- Torque the muzzle device onto the barrel shoulder to factory specification (25–30 ft-lbs) using a proper muzzle device wrench.
- Allow threadlocker to cure completely (24 hours for Rocksett) before attaching silencer and firing.
