Larger and more robust than the Ultratech or Combat Troodon, the Scarab II is engineered for tactical environments where failure is not an option. This third-generation model features Microtech’s revolutionary Dual-Fuel Drivetrain, a dual-spring system that provides such high-velocity deployment it can actually fire reliably while completely submerged underwater. The 3.9-inch Double Edge (D/E) blade is crafted from Bohler M390MK stainless steel, a proprietary blend that offers industry-leading edge retention and corrosion resistance, finished in a non-reflective tactical black.
The chassis (841768176992) is machined from 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, anodized in a vibrant Tactical Red. To ensure a "locked-in" grip in wet or high-stress conditions, the handle features 3M black traction tape inserts on both the front and back. A key 2026 update is the "Krud Kutter" milling on the thumb slide—a series of grooves designed to break up pocket lint and debris to prevent internal clogging.
