Fitment Matrix: Fits Smith & Wesson K, L, N, and X-Frame revolvers factory drilled and tapped with 3 holes under the rear sight leaf. Compatible with Aimpoint ACRO P-1, ACRO P-2, Steiner MPS, and other optics sharing the Aimpoint ACRO clamp footprint. (Note: Will NOT fit vintage non-drilled S&W frames or models with 2-hole top strap configurations).
- Perform a complete firearm safety check: open the cylinder, visually and physically verify all chambers are clear of live ammunition.
- Unscrew and remove the factory rear iron sight assembly from the revolver top strap using an appropriate precision screwdriver.
- Clean and degrease the exposed top strap mounting holes and underside of the Midwest mount using isopropyl alcohol.
- Position the MI-SWRDM-ACRO plate onto the top strap, aligning the mounting countersinks with the factory threaded holes.
- Apply a small drop of medium-strength blue Threadlocker (Loctite 242) to the included mounting screws and torque to 12–15 in-lbs.
- Slide your Aimpoint ACRO or compatible optic onto the integrated clamp rail, tighten the optic side cross-bolt to manufacturer specification (15 in-lbs), and perform zeroing at your desired range.
