Radian eliminates these failures entirely with a patented two-piece mechanical assembly that locks rigidly into the grip cavity while keeping the internal magazine chute completely free of inward wall flex.
Every component is precision CNC-machined in the United States from solid billet aerospace-grade 6061-T6 aluminum, delivering an optimal balance of structural strength and minimal weight. CRITICAL fitment and armorer warnings: Engineered strictly for OEM factory frames; will NOT fit aftermarket frames (Shadow Systems, Polymer80, Nomad, SCT). Does NOT fit Gen 1 through Gen 4 frames. Does NOT fit full-size frames (G17, G34, G45, G47) or the G19X. Will NOT clear factory modular backstraps without custom armorer trimming. CRITICAL TORQUE MANDATE: In Step 3, the PLANAR-LOK™ screw tightens by rotating COUNTERCLOCKWISE; torque the screw counterclockwise exactly 1-1/2 to 2 full turns maximum after initial taper contact. Forcing or over-torquing clockwise or exceeding 2 turns will damage your serialized frame.
- Ensure the host firearm is completely clear, magazine removed, and chamber visually and physically verified empty. Lock the slide rearward or remove the slide assembly completely during lower frame work.
- Slide the tapered ANCHOR screw into the top opening of the ANCHOR housing and thread it in until the tapered head lightly touches the matching recess; back the screw off one-half turn counterclockwise so the unit slides smoothly into the frame cavity.
- Insert the ANCHOR assembly fully into the rear grip channel until completely seated flush with the frame bottom; with the frame inverted, insert the supplied 3/32" hex key into the bottom of the screw, turn counterclockwise until light contact is felt, and torque counterclockwise 1-1/2 to 2 full turns maximum to deploy the PLANAR-LOK™ teeth.
- Insert the ANGLE-LOK® spring into the bottom hole of the installed ANCHOR, place the stainless steel plunger tapered-end up on top of the spring, align the MAGWELL's female dovetail with the ANCHOR's male dovetail, and depress the plunger with the provided ANGLE-LOK® tool while sliding the magwell rearward until it snaps over the detent.
- Place the front face of the MAGWELL against a firm, padded workbench surface and apply firm downward pressure on the rear of the frame until the front retaining tooth bites fully over the frame's front lip; insert an empty OEM factory magazine to verify smooth, drop-free release and positive slide-lock engagement.
