CRITICAL: Will NOT fit .625, .875, or .936 barrel gas journals. Gas tube roll pin is NOT included and must be supplied by the armorer. Proper gas port alignment and barrel dimpling are imperative to prevent gas blow-by and structural migration under thermal expansion.
- Ensure the host firearm is completely clear, magazine removed, and chamber visually and physically verified empty.
- Install a Mil-Spec gas tube into the gas block using a dedicated roll pin punch and standard gas tube roll pin, ensuring the gas port hole faces downward toward the block bore.
- Slide the gas block onto the cleaned, degreased .750 barrel journal, verify longitudinal and radial alignment with the barrel gas port, and index the rear set screw into the barrel dimple.
- Apply high-temperature threadlocker to the two bottom mounting set screws and torque evenly to 25-30 in-lbs using a calibrated inch-pound hex driver.
- To tune: back out the front brass-tipped locking screw, turn the side gas adjustment screw fully closed, load a single round in the magazine, fire, and open the screw in 1/4-turn increments until the bolt carrier reliably locks open on empty; then add 1/4 turn for duty reliability and snug the front brass set screw to lock the setting.
