The Shield Arms +5/+4 Magazine Extension (G26-ME-5-BLK) is a high-capacity billet aluminum extension designed to maximize firepower and grip ergonomics on sub-compact Glock handguns. 1. Perform a complete firearm safety check: drop the magazine, lock the slide rearward, and visually inspect the chamber to verify zero live rounds are present.
2. Using a magazine disassembly tool or punch, compress the floorplate insert tab and slide the factory baseplate off your double-stack G26/G27 magazine body.
3. Remove the factory spring and inner floorplate insert (do not reuse the factory spring with this extension).
4. Insert the included Shield Arms extra-power spring and retention plate into the magazine body.
5. Slide the Shield Arms aluminum extension onto the magazine rails, aligning the rear set screw or retention plate locking pin until securely engaged.
6. Load magazine to capacity to verify proper spring tension and perform a manual cycling test to confirm feeding and slide lock operation.
