Fitment Matrix: Fits Glock 17, 19, 22, 23, 26, 27, 31, 34, 35 (Gen 1, Gen 2, and Gen 3 frames). (Not compatible with Gen 4 or Gen 5 Glock frames, slimline models like G43/G43X/G48, or .45 ACP / 10mm large-frame models like G20/G21).
- Perform a complete firearm safety check: drop the magazine, lock the slide rearward, and visually inspect the chamber to verify zero live rounds are present.
- Field strip the slide from the lower frame to access the internal magazine well.
- Using needle-nose pliers or a small armorers tool, unhook the factory magazine catch spring wire from the original catch notch inside the magwell.
- Slide the original factory magazine catch out from the side of the frame.
- Insert the Strike Industries modular shaft into the frame magwell slot, then re-seat the spring wire into the internal retention channel.
- Select your preferred magazine release button pad, thread the attachment screw into the modular shaft, and torque securely using the included hex key.
