The SureFire M640V Scout Light® Pro (M640V-BK-PRO) is a dual-spectrum, 6-volt weapon light engineered for night vision operations, tactical duty, and low-light search applications. Utilizing SureFire’s proprietary V-Series bezel, the M640V allows shooters to quickly select between 350 lumens of tactical white light and 120 mW of invisible infrared (IR) illumination by twisting the self-locking selector ring—no IR filter required.
A key feature of the Scout Light® Pro series is the Low-Profile Mount (LPM). The LPM gives operators unmatched mounting flexibility by allowing the user to pivot the light body relative to the rail to optimize weapon clearance under top-mounted optics, laser target designators (PEQ-15, NGAL, DBAL), or iron sights. The kit includes mounting clevises for both MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny and M-LOK rail interfaces.
Constructed from aerospace-grade billet aluminum with a Mil-Spec Type III hardcoat anodized finish and O-ring sealed against environmental moisture, the M640V includes the Z68 instantaneous/constant-on push-button tailcap switch protected by a raised shroud to prevent accidental discharge.

Fitment Matrix: Direct mount onto any M-LOK or MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny handguard rail system. Powered by two (2) CR123A lithium batteries (included). Compatible with SureFire UE and DS00 tailcaps for remote tape switch integration (ST07, SR07).
- Verify host firearm is completely clear, magazine removed, and chamber visually and physically confirmed empty.
- Select the appropriate LPM rail clevis (M-LOK or Picatinny) and attach it to the pivoting mount arm.
- Mount the assembly onto the handguard rail and pivot the light housing inward toward the top rail/laser housing to minimize overall weapon profile.
- Torque mounting hardware securely to manufacturer specifications (30 in-lbs for Picatinny cross-bolt / T-nuts properly seated for M-LOK).
- Rotate V-Series selector ring to push-and-twist between White Light, Off, and IR modes, verifying functional output in both spectrums prior to staging.
