JE Machine AR-15 Stabilizer Buffer System V2 - PS-BFSC4 - 811577034936
Product Description
Standard AR-15 buffer assemblies feature loose internal counterweights and unguided recoil springs that rub against the interior wall of receiver extensions, producing a distracting "sprog" rasp sound during cycling. This uncaptured movement leads to spring friction, inconsistent bolt velocity, and elevated wear on receiver extension internals. The JE Machine Tech AR-15 Stabilizer Buffer System V2 (PS-BFSC4) resolves cycling friction and spring noise by combining a self-contained, captured recoil spring guide rod with an upgraded buffer mass assembly.
Precision-engineered for smooth operation, the V2 Stabilizer Buffer System functions as a drop-in silent captured recoil spring. By keeping the main recoil spring captive on a polished internal guide rod, the spring compresses linearly without bowing or scraping against the aluminum buffer tube wall. This delivers a significantly quieter shooting experience, smoother bolt carrier travel, and reduced felt recoil impulse during rapid-fire sequences.
Constructed from high-strength steel and lightweight aluminum components, the PS-BFSC4 is tuned for standard .223 Rem / 5.56 NATO AR-15 carbine setups. Designed to drop directly into standard carbine-length receiver extensions without requiring special tools or lower receiver modifications, it serves as an affordable upgrade for shooters seeking a quieter, smoother-cycling AR-15.
*Armorer Bench Notes & Real-World Staging Guidance:
Fitment & Buffer Tube Compatibility Matrix: Fits standard Mil-Spec and Commercial-Spec Carbine Receiver Extensions (Buffer Tubes) on AR-15 / 5.56 NATO platforms. Note: Self-contained drop-in assembly; requires removing your existing standard buffer weight and buffer spring prior to installation.
Installation Sequence:
- Safety check the firearm: clear magazine, lock bolt rearward, and physically/visually inspect chamber to confirm a clear weapon.
- Separate upper receiver from lower receiver by pushing out rear takedown pin and front pivot pin.
- Depress the buffer retainer pin at the front of the extension tube and carefully remove the factory buffer and recoil spring.
- Apply a light coat of synthetic gun lube to the outer guide rod and spring of the JE Machine PS-BFSC4 assembly.
- Slide the assembled PS-BFSC4 stabilizer system into the buffer tube until the front polymer base depresses past the buffer retainer pin, then reassemble upper receiver and perform function check.
Key Features
- Captured Recoil Spring Architecture: Keeps spring aligned on an internal guide rod to eliminate buffer tube spring rasp and drag.
- Smoother Recoil Impulse: Linear spring compression reduces bolt carrier tilt and smooths out sight picture recovery under rapid fire.
- Self-Contained Drop-In Upgrade: Replaces standard separate buffer weight and spring with a single integrated unit.
- Durable Steel & Aluminum Construction: Engineered to withstand thermal breakdown, intense cycling, and long-term spring compression.
- Universal Carbine Tube Fitment: Compatible with all standard AR-15 carbine length buffer tubes and 5.56 NATO / .223 Rem BCGs.
