- Perform a complete firearm safety check: drop the magazine, lock the bolt/action rearward, and visually inspect the chamber to verify zero live rounds are present.
- Unclip the rubber top cap from the storage core housing.
- Insert two (2) CR123A batteries into the dual internal slots, ensuring proper polarity direction.
- Press the rubber seal firmly down over the battery compartment opening until completely flush to establish a weather-tight barrier.
