- Ensure the gas rings are staggered 120 degrees apart on the bolt tail to maintain optimal seal integrity.
- Verify function: slide the bolt fully forward in the carrier; place the carrier vertically on its bolt face. If the carrier stays upright under its own weight without collapsing, gas ring tension is within duty tolerance.
