Precision-machined to strict Mil-Spec dimensions, the carrier is crafted from 8620 steel, while the bolt is shot-peened and high-pressure tested / magnetic particle inspected (HP/MPI) Carpenter 158 steel. This unit features the upgraded Optimized Carrier Key Screws (OCKS). The OCKS feature deep, twelve-point engagement knurling and relief cuts that allow metal to displace perfectly during aggressive hand-staking, guaranteeing the gas key screws will never back out under severe thermal expansion or high-volume suppressed cycling.
