The Springfield Armory XDM1045TB-KIT is a factory OEM 4.5-inch threaded barrel assembly engineered specifically for full-size Springfield XD-M handguns chambered in 10mm Auto. Designed as a direct drop-in performance replacement, this barrel allows operators to quickly convert their standard 10mm platform to accept suppressors, compensators, or specialized muzzle devices without requiring custom gunsmith fitting.
Precision-broached from high-grade forged steel, the barrel is finished with a deep-penetrating black Melonite treatment. *Armorer Bench Notes & Real-World Staging Guidance:
Fitment Matrix: Springfield XD-M 10mm full-size models with standard 4.5" slide configurations. (WILL NOT FIT XD-M Elite models, XD models, or 9mm/.40 S&W/.45 ACP variants).
- Verify host firearm is completely unloaded, magazine removed, and chamber visually and physically confirmed clear.
- Field strip the handgun by locking the slide rearward, rotating the takedown lever, and removing the slide assembly from the frame.
- Remove factory recoil spring assembly and standard barrel from the slide pocket.
- Insert the XDM1045TB-KIT threaded barrel into the slide, verifying proper lockup against the breech face.
- Reinstall recoil spring assembly, attach slide to frame, and hand-tighten the thread protector onto the .578x28 muzzle threads. Apply high-temp grease to threads if attaching a suppressor.
