Fitment & Receiver Extension Matrix: Purpose-built for use ONLY inside VLTOR A5 Receiver Extension Tubes (or AR-10 / SR-25 length carbine receiver extension tubes) paired with a standard Rifle-Length Action Spring. Critical Safety Note: Will NOT work in standard carbine-length buffer tubes (too long, will prevent bolt catch engagement) or short pistol tubes.
Installation & Tuning Sequence:
- Safety check the firearm, remove the magazine, lock the slide/bolt rearward, and physically/visually verify an empty chamber.
- Separate the upper receiver from the lower receiver by pulling the takedown and pivot pins.
- Depress the buffer retainer pin and remove any existing buffer and action spring from the A5 receiver extension tube.
- Slide a standard rifle-length action spring over the forward tip of the VLTOR A5H3 buffer and insert the assembly into the buffer tube until captured by the retainer pin.
