Fitment Matrix: Direct thread-in fitment for all standard mil-spec forged and billet AR-15, M4, and M16 lower receivers. Compatible with all mil-spec collapsible carbine stocks (1.148" ID). CRITICAL ARMORER WARNING: This is an intermediate-length A5 receiver extension. NEVER install a standard short carbine buffer (3.25") or standard carbine buffer spring in this tube! A standard carbine buffer will allow the bolt carrier group to over-travel to the rear, causing the gas key to smash into the lower receiver ring, causing severe receiver damage. This tube MUST be paired with an A5-specific buffer (approx. 4.0" length, A5H0 through A5H4) and a full-length AR-15 rifle buffer spring (standard 20" rifle spring or Sprinco Green extra-power rifle spring).
- Ensure the host lower receiver is completely unloaded, magazine removed, and chamber visually and physically verified clear.
- Thread a standard mil-spec castle nut (notch side facing rearward) and receiver end plate onto the external threads of the RE-10/A5SR.
- Depress the lower receiver buffer retainer and spring, threading the RE-10/A5SR into the receiver until the lip captures the buffer retainer pin without binding its movement.
- Align the receiver end plate into the rear receiver recess, hand-tighten the castle nut forward, and verify that the adjustment track is aligned at 12 o'clock.
- Torque the castle nut using an armorer's castle nut wrench to 38–40 ft-lbs, stake the end plate firmly into the castle nut notch with a center punch, and insert your A5 buffer and rifle-length buffer spring.
